A Message from Native Pride Design
Opportunity to order Orange Shirts for September 30th, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Ki’su’k Kyukyit,
At Native Pride Design we believe that relationships are important. We aim to empower our clients,
customers, and supporters by ensuring we engage in meaningful opportunities to learn and grow
together. As an Indigenous business, owned by a member of Yaqan Nukiy (Lower Kootenay Band), as part
of the Ktunaxa Nation, we encourage you to support our local business, especially during times of
advocacy and awareness.
Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity to raise awareness and support our Indigenous neighbours as we
continue to take meaningful steps toward reconciliation. This day acknowledges that residential
schools are apart of our history. Wearing an orange shirt isa national movement to recognize the
experience of those who went to Indian residential schools, to honour them, and show a collective
commitment to ensure that Every Child Matters.
We relish the opportunity to work together and share in our commitment to ensure healthy working
relationships moving forward. By supporting Native Pride Design you will also be supporting
ⱡkamnin̓tik Childrens Truth and Reconciliation Society and the Ktunaxa people collectively, as a bulk
of the proceeds from our Orange Shirts will be donated to the society to support their efforts.
In 2024 we were happy to deliver over $2500 directly to Ktunaxa Survivors through
ⱡkamnin̓tik. This was only possible with your purchase and support!
Along with this information sheet you will receive an order form. If you’re willing and able to
support this initiative please send back your order form as soon as possible to ensure your Orange
Shirts will be delivered by Sept, 30 2025. Thank you, we hope with your support this year to be able
to support ⱡkamnin̓tik even further.
Thank you,
Jared Basil
