The following criteria outline the various business structures.

Ktunaxa Business” means a legal entity that complies with the legal requirements to conduct business in British Columbia (or other Canadian provinces) and fulfills one of the following criteria: 

  1. a business entity or organization operated, controlled, or owned by a Ktunaxa Citizen, a Ktunaxa Community or the Ktunaxa Nation Council Society;
  2. a company or partnership that is at least 51% owned or controlled by a Ktunaxa Citizen, a Ktunaxa Community or the Ktunaxa Nation Council Society;
  3. a company, joint venture, partnership or other business entity whose workforce was at least 66% Ktunaxa during the previous three calendar years; or
  4. a business entity or organization that the Ktunaxa Nation Council determines should be categorized as such.
