ʔaq̓am Trading is the retail store and gas station of the Community of ʔaq̓am. We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, personable team leader to fill the position of Store Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be insightful: Identify customer needs by establishing rapport with potential and current customers.
- Provide Leadership: Maintain a positive work environment by recruiting, selecting, and training employees. This includes coaching, monitoring, and disciplining employees where necessary.
- Provide accountability: Scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Be strategic: Achieve financial objectives by monitoring financial reports; controlling expenditures, analyzing variances & taking corrective actions.
- Be sales oriented: Review sales activities; determine additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; study trends. Ensure availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts, monitoring & maintaining inventories.
- Develop public relations & marketing initiatives: Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans;
- Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
- Maintains smooth operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Be Safety-Oriented: Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment. Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
Summary
In the role of ʔaq̓am Trading Store Manager/Co-Manager, you will oversee daily operations while ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient retail management. Reporting to the GM, you will utilize your core skills in POS systems, purchasing, and team management to drive sales and enhance store performance. Your abilities in negotiation and merchandising will be vital in optimizing product offerings. Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
